This is the story of two friends who walked the same way but reached different destinations. It is a story of great friendship and struggle, a struggle for the deprived.

A 23-year old medical student and his 29-year old bio-chemist friend went on an expedition on the desire to explore the world, the reality. They started their journey on their 1939 model Norton 500cc motorbike and the journey was full of adventures, eccentricities and surprises. The journey became a landmark in their life. The journey transformed their life, their way of thinking and came to know the bitterness of the life. The reason for their transformation was the social injustices and exploitation of the deprived. They couldn't close their eyes and ears or couldn't stay numb seeing these atrocities.

The 23-year old medical student who displayed willingness to fight and die for the cause of the poor is the Argentine Marxist Revolutionary, the guerrilla leader, diplomat, physician, military theorist and above all a humanitarian – Ernesto Che Guvera. The one who accompanied him, the bio-chemist is Alberto Grando. More than a bio-chemist he is popularly known as the travelling companion of revolutionary Che Guvera. This journey has transformed Alberto Grando but he chooses the road travelled by everyone. The experience he had, galvanized him in realizing his future vocation in practical science.

Alberto Grando’s identity remained to be a youthful friend and travelling partner of revolutionary Che Guvera because he chooses the road everyone travelled. But Che Guvera took the road less travelled and made a difference.

Life is all about being unique and be the change you want to see in the world.

Many will call me an adventurer – and that I am only one of a sort. One of those who risks his skin to prove his platitudes.
